Petroleum Jelly
Petroleum jelly contains phenol. Rub petroleum jelly on the dried wooden furniture. Leave it for a day or two and afterwards use a soft cloth to polish your fixtures.
Cockroach control
Boric acid bait
This is a natively constructed trap to execute the cockroaches. Blend one part of powdered boric acid with one part of sugar and one part of white flour and make dough batter utilizing it. Put little batter balls in different ranges at home where cockroaches visit much of the time to dispose of the cockroaches. The flour and the sugar in this mixture will pull out cockroaches and the boric acid in the batter will kill the insects.
Bed-bug control
Baking Soda
Baking soda helps absorb moisture from the body of bed bugs due to its drying properties. It has antimicrobial properties which destroys bed bugs. Spread some baking soda around the crevices and cracks or wherever you find bugs. Don’t forget to vacuum the soda after few days and re-apply it.
Rodent control
Peppermint Oil
Rats do not like the smell of peppermint. You can put some peppermint oil in cotton balls and place them at the entry points and other nooks you think can be cozy abodes of these tiny creatures. Repeat every few days to keep them at bay. And the great advantage is that your house will smell fresh all the time!
Mosquito control
Camphor
Mosquitoes do not spend a minute next to camphor. It is the longest repellent made from the extract of a tree. Light a camphor in a room leaving the doors and windows shut.
